This place is one of my favorite taco spots in Denver! Especially the asada - it is so bomb!

Quick update to Yelp: I just talked to the owners and hours are 8am-12am Sundays through Mondays and 8am-3am on Fridays and Saturdays only.

Finding El Taco Veloz was a happy accident, I was returning from the airport around midnight last night and decided to grab a bite to eat. I figured Taco Bell was my only option so when I got in the drive through line I saw El Taco Veloz across the street.

I thought to myself I'll bet El Taco Veloz has out of this world authentic Mexican food and shooooot I was so right. It's fresh, made with great ingredients and it seemed like a little family owned restaurant.

I ordered about 8 tacos for my hubby and I to share. Asada, Pastor and Chorizo tacos. After about 2 I was like OMG and to think we were about to settle for Taco Bell with this deliciousness across the street!

I've found my new taco spot no doubt. It was absolutely delicious I could of ate all 8tacos myself and the salsa bar was the bomb digsss- so fresh and delicious.

Thank you Taco Veloz for the delicious tacos!

This place was a hole in the wall, in a good way. It's a bit run -down in appearance; such as the seats worn down, old fixtures, equipment and so on. However, the food and salsas were home-made and great-tasting. I loved their hand made tortillas that took the left overs home. The portions were pretty big and the food was served hot.

I did not give them a five rating for two factors: cleanliness and greasy-food. Although the food was home home-made and great tasting, the meat dishes ordered were very greasy. You can see the grease floating around the food and I had grease on my hands each time handling the meat tacos.
In addition, run-down restaurants are best when they are clean. The restrooms were not. It seemed their toilet was never flushed and their floor and walls in the seating area could use a good wiping and mopping with bleach.
If they can correct these, in my standards, I would give the restaurant five stars. I would recommend to check it out. Happy eating!

Did I die and go to taco heaven? Possibly.
As soon as we walked in, there was a line - so assumptions of it being good were there at the start! The line went really quick too, which was nice because I was hungry. I ordered the taco plate which comes with rice, beans and 3 tacos of your choice. I chose Al Pastor. At first I was hesitant because the pork was not spinning, it was just stagnant and sad looking. I don't know what they do after they shave it off but I'm sure they sprinkle some magic dust and crisp it up with magical dragon fire hahaha. The whole combination of it all was so deliciously mouth watering. I'm already dreaming about the next time I'll return for more Al Pastor tacos.

I cannot figure out why this is a hot spot right now.  It smells disgusting outside.  There is visible oil in the driveway next to the entrance.  The table was so dirty my receipt stuck to it!  I removed a huge pile of fat from my tacos to make them edible.  The condiment cups are not located at the salsa bar, making it inconvenient to go searching for them.  The food is served without napkins, again inconvenient.  Styrofoam cups for beverages ugh.  The cashier asked me if I liked Michael Jackson music.  I mentioned that Michael Jackson is no longer cool and asked why.  Apparently they are bringing a performer from Vegas?  Rando!
